Whether you are a brand new trustee or a seasoned veteran, it can be helpful to spend some time at the beginning of a new school year thinking about how your Board can be at its best. In this session we will explore some of the known characteristics of high-functioning Boards and the ways that you, as individual trustees, can contribute to the Board's overall effectiveness.

Join us for this session to review best practices and gain practical tips for handling some of the inevitable "tricky situations" that emerge.  

AISGW’s Executive Director, Amy McNamer, will also share a brief overview of the current issues facing our community of independent schools.

This program is appropriate for any member of the board of trustees, especially those who are newer to independent school governance. Board chairs are encouraged to attend.
