Artificial Intelligence is here to stay and it is transforming how schools recruit, evaluate and hire faculty. This interactive workshop will examine how AI is reshaping faculty recruitment, covering everything from candidate sourcing and screening to candidate evaluation and selection. The workshop will provide a framework and roadmap for schools seeking to pilot or strengthen their use of AI in recruitment and hiring, while keeping human-centered decision-making at the core. It will examine AI’s ability to save time, money and capacity. It will also explore AI's ethical dilemmas, particularly around bias, transparency, equity and access. Whether your school is AI-adverse, AI-curious, AI-engaged or AI-centered, this workshop will offer insight and tools to help schools innovate responsibly and prepare for the future of recruitment. Participants will receive a digital workbook with templates, recommendations and best practices to help activate next steps.
Anyone involved in the hiring process -- division leader, department chair, search committee member, Human Resources director -- is encouraged to attend. Schools are urged to attend in teams to promote deeper learning.
A light breakfast will be served.
Cost: $195 per person; $165 two or more people from the same school
