Please join us for this two-part program for Heads of School and other school leaders featuring Martha Haakmat, an experienced educator and former Head of School with a deep understanding of the intersection between school leadership and diversity work. Part One of the program (October 20), focusing on foundational readiness and skill-building, will (1) address the rationale for a strategic approach to racism and DEI, (2) take participants through a self-assessment of awareness and readiness to lead this work, (3) help build a common language of terms and concepts, (4) share strategies and skill-building for managing difficult conversations about race and racism, and (5) provide an opportunity to practice scenarios. The second session will help schools locate where they fall on an anti-racism continuum and set goals and action steps to move towards strategic DEI work and anti-racism in their communities. This program is for AISGW Heads of School and members of the school leadership team. Cost for both sessions: $95 per person, to be billed after the event takes place. Click Here to RegisterAfter registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
